CoinGlass Alternative for Funding Rate Arbitrage: ArbTide vs CoinGlass

ArbTide and CoinGlass compared: when you need broad derivatives data, and when you need funding and price arbitrage priced after fees, slippage and your balance.

Updated

CoinGlass and ArbTide answer different questions. CoinGlass shows what the derivatives market is doing: liquidations, open interest, positioning and funding across exchanges. ArbTide shows which trade pays: it prices funding, price and carry arbitrage for your balance after fees and slippage, and alerts you when one appears. If you came here looking for a funding rate arbitrage tool, ArbTide is built for that job; for market-structure data, CoinGlass is the broader tool.

ArbTide is not affiliated with CoinGlass. The CoinGlass details below come from its public website and documentation as of September 2026; check coinglass.com for its current features and prices.

What CoinGlass is built for

CoinGlass is a derivatives data platform. Its public pages and documentation cover liquidation statistics and heatmaps, open interest across exchanges, long/short ratios, funding rates with historical candlesticks and volume- or open-interest-weighted averages, a funding rate arbitrage list, options and ETF data, and a paid API with data from more than 30 exchanges. It is the tool to open when you want to understand positioning and where leverage is building up.

What ArbTide is built for

ArbTide starts from the trade. Every row in the funding rate scanner is a long and a short on two exchanges, and it shows:

  • Each leg's funding rate as the exchange quotes it, per its own interval, and the gap between them converted to 8 hours.
  • The gap the pair actually paid on average over the last 7 days or 24 hours, next to the gap right now, so a few-hour spike does not top the list.
  • Costs: four taker fees at each exchange's perpetual rate (or your own fees when signed in) plus the slippage of opening and closing both legs, measured from live order books.
  • Your size and its limit: your balance and leverage set the size on each exchange, and thin order books cap it at the amount that earns the most.
  • Gross and net profit, return on your balance and break-even time for the holding period you pick.
  • History of the exact pair, so you can see whether the gap has lasted.

The same approach covers price arbitrage, where routes are shown after fees with deposit and withdrawal status, and cash and carry. Numbers come directly from each exchange's API, and the methodology documents every formula.

Alerts instead of watching the screen

ArbTide can watch for you. An alert rule describes the trade you want, such as a funding spread above a threshold between exchanges you use, and it is checked every 15 seconds. Alerts go to Telegram, email, browser push notifications or a signed webhook, and each leg links straight to the exchange market. See crypto arbitrage alerts for how it works.

Try it

The scanners are free without an account on all 36 exchanges. Start with the funding rate scanner, set your balance and see what a trade would have paid this week, or read is crypto arbitrage profitable? for the math behind the numbers.

Frequently asked questions

Is ArbTide a CoinGlass alternative?
For funding rate and price arbitrage, yes: ArbTide ranks each opportunity by the net profit for your balance, after taker fees and order-book slippage, and sends alerts. For liquidations, open interest, long/short ratios, options and ETF data, no: CoinGlass covers those and ArbTide does not.
What is the difference between ArbTide and CoinGlass?
CoinGlass is a broad derivatives data platform covering liquidations, open interest, funding rates, options and ETFs. ArbTide is narrower: it turns funding, price and carry gaps into trades priced after costs, with the history of each exact pair and alerts when a trade pays.
Is ArbTide free?
Yes. The scanners are free on all 36 exchanges without an account, and a free account adds 10 alerts on Telegram, email or browser push. Pro adds 25 alerts and signed webhooks. Paid plans are not on sale yet: every friend you invite adds a month of Pro.
Can I use both?
Yes, and many traders will. A common workflow is to read market positioning on CoinGlass, such as open interest and liquidation clusters, and use ArbTide to find and size the funding or price trade and to get alerted when it appears.
